The cashew-tamari dressing.
That is all.
Okay, that shouldn't be all, but that is one of the reason, probably the main reason I love Mother's. It makes me want to get it directly shot into my veins.
I like everything I have tried here, from the migas to the salads to the enchiladas to the sandwiches...I could go on and on. Oh shit, the nachos are awesome. Like "forrrrreals." I have come to terms that it is difficult to fuck up vegan food. How do you screw up a bunch of soy, tofu, and wheat products? I am not saying my tastebuds are dead, I am just saying vegan food "can be" a bit bland at times. Just Saying.
Mother's Cafe is another place, like Banzai, that used to be better. They have been around since the 80s, but had a massive fire in like 2007, and remodeled. The garden that was once beautiful and flourishing, transformed into a cheesy art gallery. The staff here is okay, maybe a bit of "I don't care," but the food is still good, but Happy Meal thinks it should be better. For him, he would like flavor. I mean, he has tons of options at other place, like chicken wings or juicy steaks. At Mother's Cafe, he will eat, but come away just another disenchanted Brooklyn kid.
