Pho-Natic

Pho-Natic is a new little place in North Central Austin. It might be hard to miss, as it's in a shopping center, but you gotta try it out.

It's clean and shiny, and has touch screens to order on. Super! So, Happy Meal, Vegan kids, and I went here recently. I ordered the Salt & Pepper Tofu (#108). Kids get Tofu Springrolls (#106) and Com Dau Hu Chien (#602), which is fried tofu with rice and veggies. For vegans, just ask for no fish sauce. Happy Meal orders two things: Com Thit Bo Nuong (#503), which is grilled marinated beef, and also the Com Tom Nuong (#505), and that's the grilled seasoned shrimp. Since Happy Meal is doing no carbs, Pho-Natic will take away the rice, and add the meats on top of a nice salad.

It was a massive amount of food. Like for reals. Everything was great - my favorite is the Salt and Pepper Tofu, and covered in a massive amount of crunchy garlic. I would just eat the garlic. It's that good. Vegan Kids enjoyed the fried tofus and spring rolls, and Happy Meal thought the meaty dishes were great.

People swear by the Pho soups here, but I am not a fan of soup. It takes too long to eat, and I get bored. I honestly get bored way too easily of almost anything, or maybe distracted is a better word. Look! Something shiny! I like puppies. I take photographs. Wanna ride bikes?

Pho-Natic is one of two places in Austin that does vegan Pho. So, if you are fan of Pho, try this place out. Or if you like meats. Or tofus. Or cool touch screen menus where you don't even have to talk to people. This place is for you.
